New 45Z Guidance Marks Important Step Forward for Farmers and Biofuels

Tom Buis, CEO of the American Carbon Alliance, said Treasury’s latest guidance on the 45Z clean fuel production credit provides much-needed clarity for farmers, ethanol producers, and rural communities looking to invest and grow.
“The new 45Z guidance is an important step toward giving farmers, ethanol producers, and rural communities the certainty they need to invest and grow. Clear, workable rules help projects move forward, attract private capital, and open new markets for American-grown crops and low-carbon fuels.
“We appreciate Treasury’s continued work to provide that clarity. With the right framework in place, America’s heartland is ready to lead the next generation of clean fuel production and deliver real economic benefits for rural communities.”
