Michigan Corn Growers Association Joins American Carbon Alliance

URBANDALE, Iowa (Nov. 6, 2023) – Today the American Carbon Alliance (ACA) announced that the Michigan Corn Growers Association has joined a member of the ACA.

“The Michigan Corn Growers Association works to ensure Michigan corn growers’ voices are truly heard through their policy work that enhances economic vitality for farmers,” said Tom Buis, CEO of the American Carbon Alliance. “Together we look forward to increasing the demand for corn through carbon capture technologies.”

The Michigan Corn Growers Association is more than 1,400 members strong, including six county chapters.

“Any time we can increase demand for ethanol it has a direct and positive impact on Michigan corn farmers,” said Jim Zook, executive director of the Michigan Corn Growers Association. “When we look to the future, we see enormous potential for increasing corn demand through sustainable aviation fuel and carbon capture. We look forward to working with the ACA and their partners to create opportunities for ethanol to be used in a variety of ways, including through sustainable aviation fuel and higher ethanol blends in the marketplace.”

The Michigan Corn Growers Association join Growth Energy, Renewable Fuels Association, the American Coalition for Ethanol, the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association, the Iowa Corn Growers Association, the Renew Kansas Biofuels Association, and the North and South Dakota Ethanol Producers Associations as members of the American Carbon Alliance.
