North Dakota Corn Growers Association Joins American Carbon Alliance

The American Carbon Alliance (ACA) announced today that the North Dakota Corn Growers Association has joined as members of the ACA.

“We’re honored to have the North Dakota Corn Growers Association join our effort to strengthen the American agriculture industry through carbon capture and sequestration,” said Collin Peterson, former U.S. Congressman and ACA Senior Advisor. “Together we can strengthen the corn market, increase the demand for corn, and grow farm incomes throughout rural America.”

The North Dakota Corn Growers Association is the farmer led, membership organization focusing on policy that impacts North Dakota corn producers.

“Lowering the carbon intensity score of corn will open entirely new markets to sell North Dakota corn and is a significant way to lower the carbon intensity score of corn is through carbon capture and sequestration,” said Andrew Mauch, NDGCA president and a farmer from Mooreton, ND. “We fully support the mission of the American Carbon Alliance and look forward to working with them to enhance benefits to North Dakota corn growers.”

The ACA coalition is expanding and growing every day. The North Dakota Corn Growers Association joins Growth Energy, Renewable Fuels Association, the American Coalition for Ethanol, the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association, the Iowa Corn Growers Association, the National Corn Growers Association, and the North and South Dakota Ethanol Producers Associations.
