ACA Signs on to National Coalition Letter Urging Permitting Reform

The American Carbon Alliance has joined over 500 organizations in signing a coalition letter delivered by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to Congress calling for comprehensive permitting reform.

Outdated and inefficient permitting systems are delaying critical infrastructure projects across the country—from broadband and transportation to energy and water systems. The letter urges lawmakers to modernize these systems to support economic growth, create good-paying jobs, and meet the challenges of a growing, modern economy.

The coalition is united around four key principles:

  • Predictability – Clear timelines and scope for project reviews.

  • Efficiency – Better interagency coordination to streamline the process.

  • Transparency – Public visibility into project milestones and schedules.

  • Stakeholder Input – Consistent opportunities for all voices to be heard.

ACA is proud to stand with a broad coalition of business, energy, and agriculture leaders in calling for a permitting system that works—for our communities, our economy, and our future.
