Tharaldson Ethanol Joins American Carbon Alliance

URBANDALE, Iowa (March 5, 2024) – Tharaldson Ethanol, one of the nation’s largest ethanol facilities, announced its membership in the American Carbon Alliance.

“We are thrilled to join the American Carbon Alliance and collaborate with like-minded organizations committed to opening new markets for producers and moving the ag industry into the future,” said Ryan Carter, COO of Tharaldson Ethanol. “Our membership reinforces our longstanding commitment to innovative and energy efficient technologies that benefit our rural economy.”

Located in the heart of North Dakota, Tharaldson Ethanol is proud to play its part in helping the state lead the energy revolution. By prioritizing innovation and efficiency, their facility produces a high-octane, clean burning fuel that reduces the nation’s dependence on foreign oil, while utilizing locally grown, renewable agricultural resources.

“Tharaldson Ethanol’s leadership in the ethanol industry, coupled with their commitment to North Dakota farmers and the communities they serve, aligns with the mission of the American Carbon Alliance to strengthen America’s agriculture economy and ensure a future marketplace for homegrown liquid fuel,” said Tom Buis, CEO of the American Carbon Alliance. “We’re proud to have them join our alliance and look forward to working with them in the future.”

Tharaldson Ethanol joins other ethanol plants and several state Corn Grower Associations, Growth Energy, Renewable Fuels Association, the American Coalition for Ethanol, the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association, the Iowa Corn Growers Association, the Renew Kansas Biofuels Association, and the North and South Dakota Ethanol Producers Associations as members of the American Carbon Alliance.
